KLARÄLVEN
For our very popular day tours we offer trips from 16 to 22 kilometres, starting upstream and returning to Byns Camping. You can choose your start point depending on your experience and level of fitness. Many first time paddlers cover the full 22 km comfortably. This is in our opinion one the most beautiful parts of this river, many guests see plenty of wildlife, including beaver along this stretch. We have even had guests who saw bear high on the hillside along the river.
If you are looking to make an extended tour on Klarälven you can choose to enjoy between 2 and 7 days on the river. We are happy to advise you on what is possible. We have guests who take the full 7 days to paddle down from Sysslebäck, travelling at a leisurely pace and stopping to swim or fish. Other guests have returned in 4 days, preferring to press on a little harder. The choice is yours!
There is the option to use official campsites, rest places or to camp “wild” along the way.

SVARTÄLVEN
Svartälven has a different feel to Klarälven, offering more variety of scenery and water. It combines rivers and lakes, sometimes linked by land transport, to make for a very interesting journey,
The land transports, up to 2.5 km long, are normally no problem, especially if you are sensible enough to travel light. We provide transport wheels to make life much easier.
4 to 7 day options.
ROTTNAN
A smaller river system starting at the Norwegian border, which then heads back into Värmland.
The first part of the journey on a narrower section of river, which in higher water, flows quite quickly. The river then widens out and slows down to a nice gentle pace. Plenty of chances to see beaver, you will see plenty signs of their activity along the way.
3 to 5 day options.
NB: please note that both Svartälven and Rottnan require you to be transported to the start and from the finish of your tour.
