Klarälvdalen Kanot is based at Byns Camping in Ekshärad. The business is run by experienced paddlers who pride themselves in offering a high quality and reliable service for paddlers, both first timers and experienced, who want to enjoy this beautiful part of Värmland.

New for 2010 - Canoe Experience Sweden.
In 2010, we will be organising 2 pilot tours with a highly experienced and qualified leader. The first will be a river & lakes tour in June and the second a canoe Experience week in late August. Check out www.canoeexperiencesweden.com for more details. From 2011, we will be increasing the availability and number of different tour options. We will also be working with Brookbank Canoes, the UK's largest canoe retail chain, to provide canoe experience weeks for their customers.

Our main focus of activity is Klarälvdalen. The Klarälven (Clear River) starts in Norway, more than 200 kilometres from the Swedish border. From the Swedish border, the river continues south to Karlstad, the main city in Värmland.
We offer canoe hire and transport, from our base in Ekshärad, between Sysslebäck in the north to Edebäck in the south, a distance of over 120 kilometres. South from Sysslebäck, the river offers easy, safe, paddling and generally flows at around 2 kph.

Byns Camping
Klarälvdalen Kanot & Byns Camping are both owned by Clearriver HB. The campsite is right on the banks of Klarälven and is used by many paddlers and rafters. There is a small Kaffe Stuga offering hamburgers & pizzas etc. and a small shop with gifts, drinks and ice cream.

The campsite owners pride themselves on providing good, clean facilities for all guests.
In addition to space for tents, the campsite has 8 traditional Swedish camping cabins.
There are 2 supermarkets and other stores within easy walking distance from Byn.
